MR - Medium Rigid
- Trucks and buses with a GVM more than 8 tonnes and two axles.
- Any towed trailer not weighing more than 9 tonnes GVM.
Tenure Requirements
- To upgrade to this licence class you must have held a Class C (not learner) for at least one year (including red P plates). You cannot up grade while holding Red P’s.
To apply for a MR licence, you must:
- Pass the Rigid Knowledge Test.
- Pass an eyesight test.
- Successfully complete Heavy Vehicle Competency Based Assessment (HVCBA).
